现在是2024年了,最近还是遇到了关于买机器的时候到底是选择大带宽限制流量还是小带宽不限制流量这样的问题。我感觉这里要解释清楚只需要强调一个问题即可,那就是最基本的物理知识:1Mbps带宽,也就是每秒钟传输128KB数据。希望能通过一个比较极端的举例能让新人清楚哪个适合自己。
极端假设:
网站每一个网页里面平均加入了10张1MB的图片,有5M带宽不限流量和1Gbps带宽限制1.65T流量这两款服务器可供你选择,甚至价格都一样的情况下,并且假设访问者的带宽无穷大。
5M带宽的极限是5*128K每秒,要加载完一个网页10MB需要15秒多,而1Gbps带宽加载完一个网页只需要0.078秒。你的访问者会告诉你答案。
你发现网站总积累的数据打包后已经500G,需要进行远程本分或者下载到个人电脑上备份。在1Gbps带宽的机器下备份只用了65分钟,5M带宽的机器备份一次你会发现好像用了好多天还没完成。你自己也有了答案。
